Making Music came first — decades of playing, writing, producing, and still learning in the process. Teaching grew out of the making, and changed it: we learned that real teaching isn't handing out answers, it's handing over the recipe the answers are made from. We teach the generator, not the output. The tools came last, because a lesson is better when you can hold it — a metronome that lets you feel the cycle, a page that lets you read it, a fretboard that lets you see it, a slowed recording that lets your ear catch up. Apps, a studio, a classroom: different rooms of the same house of Music, all built toward the same quiet goal — that one day you can do all of this without us. And we hope that day is soon.
